Tui claims. Any luck? Any advice?

We recently went on holiday with TUI. My son was hurt while we were there due to a faulty shower area resulting in a deep cut to his foot which required 4 stitches. I raised a complaint and accident report whilst I was there. My son wasn’t allowed to get his foot wet for a couple of days so we had to keep him out of the pools and we also had an excursion booked to an island which he couldn’t go in the sea whilst we were there. Since being back I’ve been passed from pillar to post to raise a claim with TUI and finally have a claim handler. I received a letter from DWP to confirm that we hadn’t claimed benefits due to the injury in the wrong name. I rang the DWP and they were advised they were given that name by TUI so I emailed them with no response and have sent a couple of other emails without a response. They advised they’d respond within 6 months, however given the lack of replies I’m worried about waiting the 6 month and being no further forward. I’m considering just contacting a solicitor, anyone been in a similar situation?

What do you mean by the DWP and benefits, what has that got to do with your holiday?

I’m not sure? I was told the first thing I had to do was fill in a form so they could confirm that no Universal credit was claimed? I just assumed it was a first step to a claim?

Have you also notified your insurance company? They might be able to help chivvy TUI.
I'd also raise a complaint with ABTA about the delay.
