Hot short haul holidays in March?

Hi everyone I’m looking for a holiday for 4 of us in March somewhere short haul from the uk, beach based, can anybody recommend the best place to go for sun chasing with with the 2 kids? Thanks ☺️

Short haul in March? Nowhere in Europe is reliably hot at that time of year. Your best bet is somewhere like Egypt or Cape Verde, if you want a short flight. If you want guaranteed hot then you need to go further afield.

Depends what you call hot but in Europe the only place that will be reliably warm enough for sunbathing are the Canaries. They should be low 20s in March with very low chance of rain (depending if you go early or late in the month)

Thanks all, any particular canary island you’d recommend? Egypt is also on the list, as well as Agadir but I’m concerned for safety, are tourist areas generally safe? Like I say we are looking for relaxing as opposed to exploring

We went to Tenerife in February this year and it was hot all week in Costa Adeje.

We went to Puerto de mogan in Gran Canaria in March 2023 and it was perfect weather all week! And a beautiful place. We had high 20s to mid 30s.

Have been to Tenerife and Lanzarote, both lovely (slightly prefer Lanzarote if pushed). Lanzarote can be windy though so in March Tenerife might be a safer bet.
