Need a proper break - 3 year old

My DS is just 3. He’s a total joy, he’s so fun and funny.

But he didn’t sleep at all for the first 2 years unless I was holding him, and now only sleeps through the night about once a week (and I only half sleep as I’m always listening out for him).

We have zero family help as we don’t live near parents and we had my son when we were older so our parents are too old to run after a toddler anyway.

DH and I haven’t had one night on our own for years now and we desperately need to reconnect and relax.

Any ideas of somewhere we can go for a short break to fully relax, e.g. somewhere with childcare which is safe and reliable!

We are average income so can’t be too spenny either.

I realise I might be seeking the impossible.

Thanks everyone.

How about a short cruise? There are some really good Black Friday deals at the moment. I find that the childcare offered by most cruise lines is excellent and most do evening creche sessions, unlike hotels.

Scott Dunn have amazing childcare and out of season a little bit better budget wise.

Agree on a cruise. Other one to look at is Tui Blue/Sensatori/Holiday Village as they use UK qualified staff and run paid sessions for younger kids. HV wasn’t my cup of tea but loved the Tui Blue we went to albeit with older kids.
