Holidaying alone

We are currently looking for a holiday to get away in May, so its also over our wedding anniversery. Our ds will be 15 months when we go.
My mil is more than willing to have our ds for a week, (she offered, we havent asked!). Would you leave your 15month old ds dd with their grandperents. I no he'll be fine, but its in my mind of the "what if?". However, it will give the two of us some time alone, which we never seem to have any more.

haven't done it myself, but friends won a holiday for 2, a few years back and their dd went to grannys for two weeks and was fine, our dd is staying with granny later this year for a week, (whilst we work, boo hiss) but she'll be two by then.
