Best hang luggage bag (suction or clever packing bag)

I see so many adverts on social media but would like some recommendations from people that actually have something they love & works well rather than all the fake comments!

Need a plane hand luggage cabin bag. Something that takes as much as possible. I've been ones that open right up so you pack the clothes actually within the lining of the bag and then fold it up to make bag shape. I've also seen ones where you have different compartments and can attach the hoover to create suction to take the air out & pack down.

Please send me links of bags you love!

To state the obvious, don’t get the hoover one unless you’ll also have a hoover you can use to pack for the return journey!

I don’t have any special bag but I do have some compression packing cubes which fit in a normal rucksack, they are very helpful! I have some pricey ones (made by Thule) and some cheaper ones from amazon, the pricey ones are stronger and will probably last longer but there’s not a lot in it.

That is such a good point @minipie ! Thank you! I'd have got there with it sucked and then had to chuck stuff out to get home! Haha!

I've seen some where they have a little sucker motor attached as part of the bag so no hoover required.

Also have some packing cubes but have never found them overally helpful except for keeping things separate. But don't think they are specific "compression" ones so I'll have a google on that - thanks!

The compression ones are great, they really do shrink stuff down, especially things which are “airy” like fluffy jumpers or puffas. They have an extra zip. Just don’t overstuff toooo much as they will split.

I saw someone with vacumm compressed bags in her handluggage recently, she had to open every one of them as the security people found something to investigate.

She had serious issues closing her handluggage, so it's not just having a hoover at the other side.

I would look at these compression cubes or the ones with a build-in hoover-style thing.
