Post A-levels trip in early July — Zante, Ayia Napa or something else?

DS (18) and 6 to 8 friends are planning a post-A-levels trip. He and some of his group still have school sports commitments from mid-June, so they’re looking at early July instead of the usual immediately-after-exams party wave.

We hear it’s still extremely busy then, with plenty of UK and Northern European (Scandi & Dutch) 18-21s partying through until mid-July in the main hotspots.

They’re not the most organised bunch, so they’ve asked for a bit of help (and money, of course!) narrowing things down on their first big group trip abroad.

They want lively nightlife, a young crowd (21+ apparently counts as old!), beach, pool, gym if possible, and somewhere clean but not luxury. We’re paying, so thinking all-inclusive might help keep costs sensible — although maybe budget SC/B&B is better?

They’re deciding between Zante (Laganas) and Ayia Napa, but open to other good options for that age group and timing (1st week of July).
Any hotel or package recommendations — or ones to avoid — much appreciated!

My teen loved Malta (they rented a house on air b and b for 8 of them) loved the nightlife and also that it wasn’t overly just hordes of Brits but lots of other young people from other European countries as well

@iwantavuvezela That’s really useful, thank you — Malta sounds like a great balance of nightlife and mixed crowd, I’ll mention it and air bnb option to them!
