Hi there
Has anyone been to Paphos in late March and had good weather, please? Booked a holiday but now regretting it having read that it’s not very warm in March? The joys of trying to find cheap holidays in the school holidays 😪

Many thanks!

It will probably be warmer than here, but not warm enough for beach or pool. Might well be nice enough for walks and sightseeing (though also chance of rain). Depends what sort of holiday you had in mind.

Thank you! There’s an indoor pool so my 6 year old should be happy. We’d like to do some sightseeing and wandering about. I’m very pale but wouldn’t mind a bit of a tan 😂

I think it will probably be lovely warm spring weather.

Oh well that sounds great then. It’ll be nicer than here and the indoor pool is a good find.

I went in Feb half term 2 years ago and had sunshine every day! Even had a dip in the outdoor pool. It was blissful.

I live in Paphos and this March was very cold, we had days when it was down to 14c. It did start to warm up towards the end of the month though so you might be ok by the time you come (around 20c).

RoeDeer86 · 05/11/2025 21:53

Thank you - that’s really helpful! Hopefully it will be a bit warmer than 14 when we visit. It is the end of the month like you say, so 20 will be okay!

Ps, what is Paphos like, if you don’t mind me asking?! It looks lovely on the photos, but I surmise they don’t do it justice!

Paphos is lovely, I've lived here for 20 years 😎 Loads to do and easy to get around as a tourist as long as you pick a hotel/apartment close to a bus route.

Depends what you want from the holiday though and the age of your kids. The sea is still cold at that time of year and the pools will be freezing unless you rent a villa with a heated pool.

Thank you! The hotel has an indoor pool so we’re covered for that. DS is 6 so he quite enjoys exploring historic sites! It sounds glorious there and looks lovely. Hopefully there will be some boat trips running as well!

Which hotel are you staying at? The Tombs of the Kings and mosaics are amazing, well worth a visit. The boat trips don't usually start until April and even then depends on the weather.

We've had some "seismic activity" over the past couple of days 😵‍💫😱

I went late April. It was low twenties but pretty windy. It rained one day.
