We’ve had the opportunity to go to South Africa early next year, staying the first few days with friends in Cape Town initially and then will go exploring on our own.

Does anyone have suggestions for a 10 - 14 day itinerary that includes a safari and a vineyard visit please? Also any tour companies that you could recommend?
I’m usually good at organising our travel plans but I really am unsure where to start this time so any help would be gratefully received.
In case it’s relevant my partner has slight mobility issues in that he can’t walk for miles so nothing too strenuous.
Thanks everyone

You should check on the time of year and reserves. At that ime of year, it might be better to find a reserve in the Eastern Cape. And if you go up to Kruger etc you may need to take anti malaria medication.

You could also consider the Pilanesberg. Yu can stay in logdes or the local big resort is Sun City.

In the Cape, Franschoek is the more traditional proper tourist/luxyury version for wine farms but frankly, Stellenbosch, Elgin, Paarl, Constantia are all fabulous. You can do day trips but it's nice to stay at a farm for 1-2 nights to really enjoy the experience etc.

South Africans are a bit of an odd combo - on the one hand, they'll beup at 5am to go surfing, hiking table mountain after work, runing on the beach.... but they drive eveywhere! :) So youR DH will be fine with mobility issues - you can drive and park easily (DEFINITELY hire cars) pretty much everyhwere.

@Lifeisnotalwaysfair The ones near CT are rewilded farms giving a safari experience. Going to Kruger and the adjacent concessions is far more wild! Yes 3 days minimum.

Sun City is ? Far better places to see.
