Butlins Minehead

Hello,
We went to Butlins a few years ago and all came back with norovirus. The children were desperate to go again so I’ve finally caved and booked however looking online it feels like everyone’s getting ill!
So, my question is, has anyone got recent good experiences of Butlins Minehead? So I don’t have to worry for the next six months!

People with good experiences are less likely to review. I imagine you will have an amazing time.

Just keep up good hygiene practices with regular handwashing, especially the little ones.

We went to Butlins Minehead this summer, and have been every year for the last 7 years, and we have never had any problems and never been sick, and haven't been aware of any outbreaks of norovirus whilst we have been there.

But we are careful with making sure we hand-wash before eating and use hand gel. But as pp said there will be several thousand visitors each week and those who don't get ill aren't posting online about it.

Not Minehead, but we were at Skeg ess a week after they closed it down for the norovirus outbreak. We had no issues, other than a power outage in the kitchens

As others have said, people only post the bad experiences!

Dont stress, you will be fine!

Besides you are more likely to pick up a bug from the swimming pools in my experience. Not Butlins, but a similar place and dd ended up with it before we even left.
