Unbelievable i know but i have never ever ever been further than ireland and the lo's have never been anywhere. We have decided to go on holiday this year with a couple we know so i'm looking for suggestions of where would be hgood for us first timers! Villa/gite,not hotel and there will be 4 adults and 5 lo's - ages 2-10. Also, any idea how much passports will be?

You can book villas just about everywhere either privately or through somewhere like James Villas. We love Italy and Spain but it depends on what you want from your holiday. Do you just want to relax with may be a bit of shopping or do you want to be able to get in the car and do some sightseeing?

Here is the passport website.

Thanks. Just thinking relaxing by pool with a some shopping close by but not in a big complex. Dd1 has special needs and i coulod be doing without her attaching herself to every other family there. Can't imagine we'll be doing much sightseeing with 4 dc's. Was thinking italy. Thanks for website details.

Passports are about £70 each iirc. How about a sc apartment or villa in a family orientated area (most mainstream tour operators have family brochures) or a Siblu/Keycamp/Al fresco type place

What is a siblu type place - like i said, complete holiday virgin! Tho it would be good to get rid of have something the dc's could do. All day.

It is a mobile home type complex here

Too many other people around for me i think. Like i said,dd a concern really. Would be nice to have a kids club but i think just a pool would be fine.
