Two weeks break end of March into April
Want it warm enough to sunbathe
Canaries
Cyprus
Morocco
Egypt
Will do some flop days
Maybe a few day trips
Possibility to maybe wander into local small town
Two adults in our 50s

We enjoy Lanzarote, nice weather and a good mix of sightseeing/activities depending on what your interests are. We’ve hiked, visited the volcano, wine tasting at vineyards, a tour of the work of architect cesar manrique, bike rides along the coast and boat trips.

Your dates are Easter school hols so it’ll be peak prices though.

I second Lanzarote.
Puerto del Carmen Fariones hotel is good.
Also Playa Blanca Iberostar Lanzarote Beach hotel, it has a separate adults only part (star prestige) with pool and restaurant for adults. Lovely hotel, right on the seafront gorgeous views.

Similar is Corralejo Fuertaventura. I stayed in the Barcelona Corralejo Bay in a room with private hot tub and Bali bed.
I never go AI, just HB because you need to be a really big drinker to make it worthwhile. Just add drinks, snacks to the bill and pay on departure.
