Tenerife at Christmas

Hi , we’ve booked to have a week in Costa Adeje for Christmas , we’ve never been abroad in Dec before . I know it can get chilly in the evenings and weather can be unpredictable like anywhere in the world . However I’m just wondering what to pack for evening wear at the hotel especially over new year
We will be AI so won’t be going out for meals .

Jumpers and jeans maybe. We go to Costa Adeje in January and take a light jacket, trousers and a jumper or long sleeve top for evenings but we go out to eat.

For Adeje you’ll be fine with light jacket. I always have a scarf with me. The NYE fireworks are often v impressive along much of that coast. Warning - Teide national park is absolutely freezing (but v impressive!)

I think you're asking about what to wear on gala nights (e.g. NYE). I wouldn't be too concerned about being all sparkles and diamonds! Not many really really dress up any more IME and anything goes provided you've made some effort and you're not in T shirt and ripped jeans!

I also go away for Christmas and New Year to Southern Spain. Yes we book dinner and entertainment on NYE, and lunch on Christmas Day. It can be warm daytime, but quite cool at night, so my go to at night is a decent pair of good black or navy trousers and a top with a bit of sparkle, but not too much either. That's it and most others are the same, although the dresses do come out for sure, but I personally find them impractical when it's cold and I hate tights! So that's my excuse....
