2 or 3 night mini cruise from UK port?

My DM will be 70 next year. She has always wanted to go on a cruise but has no one to go with and would dearly love to give one a try. She absolutely will not go on her own.

Due to work and dc's and numerous other reasons I can't go for a full week but would be able to go for 3 nights with her . But I'm feeling very overwhelmed trying to find anything. Ideally we could go early September next year, and for no more than 3 nights. Can anyone recommend where to begin looking or have experience of going on a mini cruise? Any tips or tricks for booking and who with?
Thank you very much for any help 🛳

There is a TV series on at the minute on Channel 5 filmed on the ambassador ships if you wanted a preview, called The Cruise: fun loving brits at sea.

I can recommend Ambassador; we had a fabulous cruise from Tilbury. Majority were older passengers, and we didn't have to lift a finger.

Britanny ferries do one from either Portsmouth or Plymouth to Santander. It's really a sea cruise as it only stays in Santander a few hours.

In summer you do see a few dolphins too.

But that's a ferry Isn't it, not a cruise, I mean they will have some activities but no midnight pizza.

OP

I watch Emma Cruises and Tips for Travelers on YouTube they both talk about different cruises, TFT in particular looks at picking the ideal cruise for you.

What type of cabin do you want? How much luxury? Adult only?

Does it have to leave from the UK, it's a short flight to the Mediterranean.
