They have 4 centres, in Staffs, N Yorks, M Keynes & Knowsley; Knowsley & MK are for age 6+ (height over 110cm), the other 2 like Go Ape for age 10+ (height over 140cm)

Excellent, been looking for something like this for my son's 10th birthday but Go Ape age restriction limits the friends he could take.

Oh good!

(Hope one of those 2 is near you though???)

Well Milton Keynes is the closest but still 2 hrs drive. Though to be fair I live so far out in the sticks in takes an hour to get anywhere (including to work and to the supermarkets!), so we're used to travelling to get places. If there was anywhere a bit closer to Essex that took children under 10 I'd be very interested.

I was looking into doing a weekend at Thetford centre parcs and inviting friends for a day pass to join us. My son loves doing the ArialAdventure there.

That's still 2 hours drive for everyone though. And this would be cheaper per child as you only pay for each person doing it and don't have to pay the day pass on top. Plus younger children could join in as it's ok for over 6 year old.

Guess we could hire a minibus and make a day of it, stop somewhere else on the way back.

Still got time to sort it as his birthday isn't until january...

Oh dear, I don't know any others - I'll let you know if I come across one - meanwhile hiring a minibus sounds like the best option (as long as they're all good travellers!)
