Hello

I am looking for an amazing hotel, with Bea surroundings, ideally with a sea view

The food and drinks should be to a decent standard (preferably not AI) as I always find food and drinks are a lower standard at these hotels even if you are not AI

I would prefer if the hotel was near restaurants - ideally walking distance

I will travel to most places but would rather not go to the Caribbean

There will be teenagers on the trip

There is no set budget so hit me with your hotel recommendations

@Quitelikeit Do you have no idea where? Indian Ocean? Mexico? Which ocean? Europe? I’d just pick an area and read Conde Nast Traveller. They pick out the best for you and the newer openings, small or large.

Borgo Egnazia in Puglia?
Hotel Splendido in Portofino?
San Domenico Palace in Taormina, Sicily? There are some other top notch places there too.
Hotel Vis a Vis in Sestri Levante.
Cheval Blanc in St Tropez
Hotel du Cap Eden Roc / Hotel Belles Rives in Antibes

Ok well that pretty broad - you’re going to tick a lot of locations with good weather during three seasons.

what else are you looking for? How do you want to spend your days? Do you want to sit on a beach? Stroll around towns? Culture?

Take a look at Oman for April or October.

ByTwinklyDreamer · 20/10/2025 16:22

The Table Bay Hotel Cape Town for April.

teacupzs · 20/10/2025 16:31

October Bora Bora or Moorea

teacupzs · 20/10/2025 16:32

Or Aruba in Oct - Hyatt or Rotz

teacupzs · 20/10/2025 16:32

Ritz even

I agree with Oman (not for July though) such a beautiful and diverse country with many high end luxury hotels. Mauritius is also a good shout as well as Sardinia and Sicily. Or IKOS hotels in Greece, they are stunning

OhDear111 · 21/10/2025 07:39

@Quitelikeit So have you been to the BVIs? Or just two Caribbean islands? You also need to state a budget! There is a world full of amazing hotels but some clue as to where might help. Also what’s your definition of luxury? One up from AI or world class luxury? What can you afford?

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 21/10/2025 09:10

Another vote for Oman

DancingNotDrowning · 23/10/2025 08:37

Oman would be nice for April - I like ziggy bay but not been there in a decade.

Puente Romano Beach Resort & Spa in Marbella is good for April if you don’t want too much heat. You could also do July. I love the outdoor nobu and fish restaurant.

if you don’t mind the lake instead of a beach. Grand hotel tremezzo on como is gorgeous with some good restaurant options in walking distance.

Istoria in Santorini is lovely and a very short walk to lots of good beachside restaurants and bars.

these are all considerably less than @MissAmbrosia fab suggestions but still with a touch of luxury.

defrazzled · 23/10/2025 08:41

The Sixth Sense resort in Koh Yoi Noi is amazing

GraceeeCC23 · 28/10/2025 12:51

I’d look at New York if you fancy a city break with luxury. Some of the best new york hotels have rooftop pools, Michelin-starred restaurants, and amazing views of Central Park or the skyline. I stayed at one near Fifth Avenue and it was pure indulgence—beautiful rooms and great service. Perfect for a mix of culture, food, and pampering.

OhDear111 · 29/10/2025 14:31

@Quitelikeit There are also fab hotels in South Africa - no jet lag!
