I have for a budget of £5k absolute max!!
(This may seem a lot to some but it doesn’t go far, so not expecting 5*)

so pref £4-4.5 really
Half Board
Not Corfu (been a lot)

Would like Greece, end summer holidays.

It’s been absolutely baking in Greece last few summers so thinking beachfront but walkable to shops, and things to wander round.

2 teens and a 6yr old! Plus me and DH
rooms can be a 2 bedroom apartment OR 2 twin type rooms.

Our day looks like: Breakfast, a Walk, Beach, snorkelling, chill out in shade, pool, dinner.

plus a day or 2 going into bigger town for shopping for teens /water park type of activity.

Thank you!!!!

Almyrida Crete. Strip of great restaurants, calm beach, some water sports, lots of Airbnbs and couple of hotels. Not overrun or noisy

Can drive or bus 15-20 mins to ancient ruins and to Chania for your big town

Thanks @pontivex

I was also going to suggest Almyrida. We have stayed there for the last three years and can highly recommend the Almyrida Residence Hotel which is a 2 minute walk to a lovely little beach. My only hesitation would be whether there was enough to keep a teenager happy in Almyrida. Our DS is an adult now so we are a bit out of touch with what teenagers want. We always hire a car so we can explore and I can recommend Autoclub which has a small office right next to the hotel.

I think Almyrida fits your bill apart from the water park. I didn’t see any mention of any nearby. There is, however, a beautiful lake nearby called Lake Kournas which has lots of fun water activities.

This has been our top find.

https://tamariskbeachhotel.com/

Small family run hotel on the beach. It’s run by a fabulous family who really pay attention to guests. Many return year after year.

Food is delicious with a la carte dinners eaten on the beach. There is a small watersports centre but the person who runs it has limited English.

The hotel is about 5/10 mins by taxi to a small resort with restaurants & bars, Michelin recommended restaurant, hamman & spa & dive school (highly recommend all of the above). About 10-20 mins from Bodrum for shopping & museums.

bodrum ortakent hotel

Tamarisk Beach Hotel - Bodrum Ortakent Hotel, Türkiye

The Tamarisk Hotel is a family run beach hotel right on the waterfront Bodrum Ortakent Hotel. Relaxing, sun-drenched and natural surroundings.

Probably a bit small for us really.
