Family treat holiday

Hello, I have inherited a small amount of money and would like to use it to have a holiday the first week of the Easter holidays. We usually have a Eurocamp type summer holidays, this will be in addition to that.

I’m currently thinking of flying to Copenhagen, having a couple of days there, than transferring to billund for Lego land and staying at Lalandia. There will be me, DH and children aged 7 and 4.

I thought I would post to see if there’s any other good treat options/ideas people have for a family with young kids, budget about 5k

Thanks!

Wait until they’re a bit older so you can do the Lego house at Billund too. I think 4 is a bit too young to fully appreciate it as many of the workshops don’t allow children under 5, and some don’t even allow children under 10. How about Efteling and then the tulips in the Netherlands?

I'm sure they'd love that! There's also the option of doing a really fancy treehouse at Center Parcs (maybe one of the ones on the continent - I second The Netherlands for Efteling!).

Along the same lines would be Efteling and Beekse Bergen, if you would like to tie in a city you could do Amsterdam. Beekse Bergen is fantastic for those ages, you can stay onsite and watch the animals from your accommodation. Efteling has a few options or De Kenpervenen is the nearest Centre Parcs.
