and if we pay for a fastpass does it really get you through much quicker or are there loads of people queuing due to the fastpass? TIA

we'll be there end aug, so I really hope not! when are you going?

DiscoDizzy · 04/06/2008 20:23

Ah we're not going this year, we've got other things booked but are planning on next year. The choice is either April (disadvantage - weather) or August (disadvantage - bad queues).

oh I see, we're going on our way back from camping, it will be sun/mon/tue of the bank hol weekend and is cheaper than the rest of august, which is a plus

Slouchy · 04/06/2008 20:27

we've been twice in Aug (once over bank hol).
yes, it is busy. Queues up to 70mins for things like Flying Elephants - dunno why, it is CRAP. Fast pass is worth every penny. Straight up to the machine, given a time to return.

Yes, it will be busy and there will be queues. But when we went in the summer it was not too bad. Certainly it was less busy than October half term when we went!

You don't pay for Fastpass tickets. You just go and get a Fastpass from the relevant machines next to the ride. It tells you what time to return to It does shorten the queues by quite a lot. Fast pass is not available for all rides - look at the website for more info. You can only hold one Fastpass at a time, although there is a bit of leeway with overlap at buy times.

Thanks everyone. Hulababy - I now understand. I'd have been looking for this fastpass ticket to buy otherwise
