I am planning our trips for next year and wondered whether anyone could recommend a good travel blogger/ content creator to reduce the sheer amount of research I need to do!

I have started following some organically but they’ll recommend hotels that come up as £5k per night which is beyond my budget 😂

We are a couple in our 30s and we love to travel. We can either do several short trips or one or two longer trips. We are always looking for recommendations because we tend to like to do more travel type holidays than your all inclusive beach type.

We often pick a country & find a specialist tour operator for that country, with a UK base + ABTA & ATOL protection.
For example, we've used discoveregypt.co.uk & had an excellent tailor-made holiday. Similarly with Jordan, China, & Peru/Ecuador & others.
I'd recommend Riviera Travel for escorted tours

Your average blogger is on an ego trip, and if they're popular they get sponsorship to pay for expensive hotels to show you how cool they are.

Personally, I look at guides for locations I may want to visit, rather than bloggers per se, and then choose a hotel. I'm a member of the Accor "ALL" membership programme which gives me ~10% off normal prices (plus a discount for booking on the app), so those are my default, and they have a range of options from basic (F1, Ibis) to luxury (Sofitel, Pullman) and everything in between.

Other hotel chains are obviously available...
