All inclusive recommendations for older teens

Have you been anywhere abroad this year that your older teens loved? We normally go all inclusive but also like to venture out so somewhere with bars/restaurants/shops very close that the teens can have a wonder. They like meeting other teens too so somewhere with a daytime activity programme would be good. We've been to Costa Adeji this year which they loved but like to try new places. Has anyone been to a good hotel they could recommend for July/Aug time? We think Turkey will be too hot in Aug with lots of people saying high 40's so prefer canaries. Looking around £2k per person .

We stayed at silva beach hersonissos (sp?)Crete with a 18 & 15 year old and really enjoyed it.
Was right on the beach and at the end of a promenade you could walk all the way to harbour with bars and restaurants all along.
Malia was 20 mins away if they fancied having a look.
loads of day trips you could go on and visit Santorini if you fancied it for the gram!

Thank you I've had a look and it's definitely one for the list.

@Yorkstar Would you consider a cruise? Might not be for you given what you have said about having a wander about at night etc. but it's actually quite good for older kids because they are sort of captive so they end up making friends, it is entertaining, your budget is not that bad, and you get to see a lot of places. The food is generally pretty good, and plenty of older teens were out and about, either with parents, or in small mobs because they had found their tribe. Might be too expensive when you want to go, but there are a lot of deals out there.

I agree that a cruise might suit you - certainly there's usually lots for teens to do - my teenagers loved it. It might be a bit in reverse to your normal holidays though - exploring ports during the day, and activities during the evenings and sea days. Most ships have an active teen programme, or teenagers will often meet at the teen club on the first day or two, and then do their own thing from there, once they have made some friends.

Creta Maris had a good teens club, and is walking distance from a shopping centre.

I know too said no Turkey but one of One our best teen holidays was a week long cruise to Romania, Bulgaria, Istanbul and a couple of other places. We all helped picked excursions and then we had a week at an all inclusive hotel in Oludeniz Turkey. Everyone got into the animation, darts, boules etc, all the meals were outside with a stunning view. You could walk from the hotel (about 100 metres) and there were shops, bars, water sports hire places, boat trips, restaurants etc. The hotel was called Belcekiz Beach.

My friend had a great teen holiday at Santa Napa Hotel in Cyprus. She said it was great as right near a promenade for walking in the evening after dinner. She also did lots of fun excursions.

Another vote for a cruise. Never fancied it myself but when DC were late teens we did a couple of Marella cruises. They have the feeling of an AI hotel and no stuffiness or compulsory dressing up. We hadn't done much in the way of city breaks abroad and this was a perfect taster - a day in Barcelona or Split, a trip to Monte Carlo and back to pool and lots going on onboard.
I've never done it since but it was perfect when they were 17 to 21 and still wanting to come on big holidays with us.

Thank you for the suggestions so far. Some great ideas/hotels on here along what we're looking for.
