Maspalomas, Gran Canaria. What's it like?

Mrs and I booked for 14 nights next September. I know it's virtually joined onto Playa Del Ingles, where we were this year, but we don't know much more about it other than it's quieter and if we want action at night we need to go to PDI. Anybody got any info on it?

It’s ok for a wee break, nothing special - I was there in September and very disappointed with the way it’s become run down and lots of places closed. Sad, as went 3 years in a row before Covid. With a nice hotel you should be fine as have somewhere to hang out.

Best to nip into Playa Del Ingles most nights, then..?
