We're thinking of going to the MW Kos resort in September with a 2 1/2 year old and a 6 month old. Does anyone have any recent experience of their accommodation? Is it better to stay in the hotel or the village? Is there anything else we should take? etc! Thanks very much for any tips

Is this Lakitira?

gybegirl · 04/06/2008 16:54

Yes - have you been?

Yes, last October. Once in 2004 and once in 2005. Three times altogether.

Did you stay in the hotel or in the village? The village looks very pretty but the guy on the phone said it had no fridges in the rooms and he seemed to be pushing the hotel. What do you think?

We only ever stayed in the hotel. It's cheaper and you get your own balcony or patio if ground floor.

Are you thinking of signing up for their baby listening service in the evening. If you are go for the hotel.

No to the baby listening service - I'm no even sure they do it anymore. The babes will either come with us or we'll just sit and have a drink on the balcony whilst they're snoozing so hotel sounds fine. Anyone stayed in the village?

You can get babysitters (they are the trained MW nannies) - last year it was 10 euros an hour. We got a nanny for 2.5 hours (from 8pm) every night. It meant we could enjoy dinner and a stroll along the beach. Tip - book the babysitter on the first day and ask one of the nannies who is looking after your child's agegroup.

We are looking at the moment too!
