We have been twice

It is in a fantastic region. You can walk (uphill!) to the beach (or pay a little and get the tourist train that runs around the site), drive 5 mins to a lake with another beach, Good local town, Mountains in easy reach & forest everywhere!

You get woken in night by HUGE pine cones landing on your vans, and red squireels are all over the place.

The pools are good. The sea is rough - beware! It's a surfers paradise, but you can swim in the saltwater lake down the road (also has pedaloes)

They have a weekly Hog Roast which is good value - Hog or Paella + silly singing entertainment - good fun!

Large site, entertainment if you want it. The small park next door is overpriced - go karts etc available elsewhere much cheaper, and they have bullfighting there which we avoided.

I would go again

We drove to a Spanish border town for some good shopping - right on a mountaintop,

We stayed with Siblu but you can book direct here

BBQ's are in a central area due to fire hazards but a sociable place.

One year we went it POURED with rain and some of the campers were completely washed out - the rain goes straight through the forest. Siblu refuse to have tents there anymore as another year they were waist deep. - were you tenting or caravanning?

There is a huge dip you walk through, so - a long way down & then a long way up again!

Going down on a bike is very scary but can carry you up the other side (we did this a few times).
