10 days solo travel - Thailand or South Africa?

I have been to both countries before and like them. Looking for a mix of culture, beach, and good food. Chose these two destinations as the £ goes relatively far there.

I've also been to both and enjoyed them but as a solo female traveller, I'd feel safer in Thailand.

Not really countries I would choose (I am a seasoned traveller and there are BIG red flags of danger ie spiking drinks, general tolerated violence especially against women). But you have been there before so your choice. If you are up for something new...
I would prefer Vietnam over Thailand.
Have you looked at Central America? Nicaragua is awesome.
