Can anyone recommend a family weekend holiday in England in May?

I have a big birthday next May and would like to arrange a weekend away for me, DH, our two adult kids and partners and two grandchildren age 2 and 4. Wondered about something near Yorkshire Sculpture Park but something in the Midlands would mean a fairer amount of travel as one child in NW and one SE, any suggestions?

The Norfolk beaches are wonderful and there are lots of pretty villages and great pubs too

Norfolk is a long way from the NW for a weekend. I'd aim for somewhere in the middle! Peak District maybe? Chatsworth Farm and play area is great for little ones and there's some flatter walking and bike paths.
