Playa blanca or Ayia Napa for a last minute escape…

My kids’ half term is earlier than standard and we are planning a last minute break.

If you had the option for a 6 day break, would you go to Adam’s Beach Hotel in AN or to Princess Yaiza Suite Hotel in PB?

Princess Yaiza. Because I really like Lanzarote.

Thank you! I should have added a poll 😂

I think I am leaning to Lanzarote too. Room is better as are reviews, though anyone who has been to Adam’s would be much appreciated!

Isnt Ayia Napa a party resort? Which would likely make Playa Blanca a better fit for a family.

ShinyAppleDreamingOfTheSea · 08/10/2025 22:03

I haven’t been myself but Ayia Napa isn’t the first place that comes to mind when thinking of a family holiday destination!

isitmyturn · 08/10/2025 22:50

I've a feeling Adams beach is in Nissi bay which is not Aya Napa. It's a good location, water park nearby and fabulous beach. I've stayed at the Olympic Lagoon nearby but not that hotel.
Princess Yaiza also good location though not such a good beach. Caters for young children.
Weather more reliable in Lanzarote in October.

matresense · 08/10/2025 23:50

Yes, sorry Nissi Bay! It comes up on some searches as in the Ayia Napa area

My kids are 7 and 4 - do you think enough to do for my eldest at Yaiza @isitmyturn?

Will you be going out and about?
Or do you need all your entertainment on site?
There's a small beach at PB, and then Timanfaya, yellow submarine at Puerto Calero, a wild west place etc

Winterscomingbrrr · 09/10/2025 07:17

Have you compared the weather forcasts?

Twilightstarbright · 09/10/2025 07:51

Adam’s isn’t in party central AN, it’s Nissi Beach which is lovely.

Both are good options OP but it will be half term for others too- we go to Lanzarote for oct
half term as we get two weeks off and it seems Scotland get our first week as do East Midlands, then second week is London and south east.

matresense · 09/10/2025 09:47

@Twilightstarbrightyes, we have that first week off - our county is south east but has the first week, oddly!

And yes @TeenToTwentieswe’d do timanfaya and the water park too and probably head elsewhere. We’d like to have enough nice things to do at the hotel around that

I meant under 10s when I said young children. I would choose Lanzarote for October because weather is more reliable than Cyprus. Cyprus can be good in October but it's the very end of the season while Lanzarote is all year round.
If I remember correctly the water park at PB is aimed more at little ones. The Nissi beach water park is great as well though.

matresense · 09/10/2025 10:25

Thanks @isitmyturn. I am thinking Lanzarote this year and maybe Cyprus next year when my son is just a bit older. It looks as if weather might be similar…
