Multi generation holiday May

Hi wise mumsnetters,

Trying to book a week, the end of May for an 80 year old, 42 year olds and a 6 year old.

Hoping for shortish flights (no further than the Canaries preferably)

Mum would like a heated pool or jacuzzi and for it to suit someone with limited mobility. (so no cliff side resorts please 😅)

DC would like a nice beach to look at fish and maybe a child's pool with slides, mini disco and kids club would be a bonus.

I would like some good food options incase we have to stick to the resort (my mum was a bit too disabled to go sight seeing last time so we mostly just stayed very local) and a balcony to sit out on if DC wants to go to bed early.

Bonus points for hot tub balcony options.

Previously we've stayed at Sheraton Fuertaventura - great pools and beach, buffet a bit boring but okay, nice and flat, though a bit windy and a bit lacking in child friendly evening entertainment.

Creta Maris - great food and beach and one of the outdoor pools was really warm.

I was maybe looking at Turkey this time, the AI seems really appealing.

I used to love sightseeing and eating out every night but now with a disabled DM and a very hyperactive DC I've found it easier to just stay in the resort.

Budget is £4k but could be stretched, especially if AI. Flying from the North.

Thankyou lovely Mums xx

Half term?

Yes please but I would probably nick a couple of days either side and do a bit of unauthorised absence if it saved me a few hundred. 😬

Holiday Village Kolymbia in Rhodes has some good snorkelling nearby, at least a couple of heated pools, splash pool and a good choice of dining.

Last may we stayed AI at 3hb guarana in the algarve, amazing hotel spotlessly clean , really helpful staff and lots to do for all ages , indoor heated pool and 3 outdoor pools, 2 restaurants plus various buffet restaurants and snack bar open till late
All drinks included at the bars and on tap to help yourself, evening entertainment wasnt our thing so we spent our nights exploring the beautiful local beaches, theres lots of shops and restaurants close by and albufeira is about 10 mins in an uber
We had the best time it was just over 2k for 7 nights 2 adults with a free child place
We have booked to go back to the algarve to do more exploring next year different hotel though in another area , its going to be hard to live up to the guarana though
Have a look at their website

You will save alot that way, we flew tues - tues , she was at school on the monday then we went to the airport early evening as needed to be there for 3am check in
Had we flown on the friday( the day they broke up for half term) the same 7 nights holiday would have been 3 GRAND more 😳
