Non beachy summer holidays

I’d like to book an abroad holiday next year, this is only the 2nd time we’ve been away. I’d be the solo adult with 4 children aged 15.13.11 and 9.

My eldest is on the autistic spectrum and really isn’t keen on beaches. Would have to have swimming and perhaps a place he can chill / have some space if it all gets too much.

Budget is fairly small, last time we went away I self catered for the week but then it means not much of a holiday for me!

Has anyone got any suggestions / been anywhere nice with teens / tweens?

Thanks in advance.

How about Eurocamp? We’ve been to some fantastic ones all over Europe, most recently in Croatia. Now the dc are older, we hire a 3bedroom property so we have enough space. Almost all camps have some sort of onsite restaurant, cafe and take away so you don’t have to cook. Many camps have additional eating places locally within walking distance.

Eurocamp is a good idea and they'll probably have a search that identifies more peaceful sites.

You also don't need to do all the cooking with those ages, they should be fairly self sufficient in getting their own drinks, snacks, ice creams etc, carry stuff back from the shop and be able to do their share tending a BBQ, cooking pizzas, prepping salads, washing up etc. What else is there to do?
