Budapest with teens: hotels, things to do

I would love recs for good hotels in Pest - clean, well located and friendly with a good breakfast area most important. I've got a bit of money to spend but not blow the budget level. I've googled myself a bit mad so would love a good recommendation.

Also any tips on what to do with late teens there?

We went there with mid- late teens two years ago. We hired bikes on Margaret Island. Did a guided tour of the Jewish quarter. Went to two spas. Visited the Palvolgyi cave. Went to the market and Fisherman’s Bastion and generally wandered around. We ate really nice food and went to the ruin bars. Transport was a good deal with a pass (I think they do a family one you can get on your phone). Really recommend it.

2nd the caves. We did the adventure trip and loved it. The ruin bars were great to just relax and admire and finally the pinball museum was fun. We're went around midday for a couple of hours, went to the circus and then went back to it after dinner. The tickets last all day and you can go in and out. We all loved Budapest! Have fun!
