Mexico in July?

Has anyone been to Mexico in July? We're looking for a 2 week post GCSEs with teen DC. I was wondering what the weather would be like - I know this can vary widely in Mexico.

We'd be looking at a mix of destinations - perhaps Mexico City, Tulum, Cancun.

Sargassum algae seaweed on beaches has been a major problem in Cancun and Tulum
during the summer. I would reconsider going there at that particular time of year.

The beaches will be bad with Sargassum if that’s an issue?
