Taking vitamins on flights in hold luggage

My husband and I take a few vitamin tablets every day. We're flying to Asia in a few weeks and I wondered if it's ok to decant our tablets into a plastic container and put them in our hold bags. I know how strict security is at Asian airports and would rather not be stopped for the sake of some vitamins!

Can we safely put them in our bags? I'm equally happy to leave them at home if necessary as we aren't dependent on them.

Never take tablets out of their original packaging, especially when going through an airport. That’s just asking for trouble!

I’d be inclined to keep them in my hand luggage.

Indeed leave the vitamin tablets in their original packaging. You can put these in your hold luggage, there should not be any issue with these.

Keep them in original packing always

Thank you everyone, I'll put their little plastic containers in the luggage 😊

I got stopped at customs in Canada once and it was the pot of fish oil tablets I'd packed. In their original packaging. They were very nice about it but it was still a bit daunting being stopped and watching my case being unpacked.

I took my vitamins to Greece, Portugal and Amsterdam recently; no issues. In the hand luggage in the original package; as we rarely pay for hold luggage these days
