For Corfu (10 days) in 2 weeks?

I think my menopausal brain has gone on the Fritz as I just can’t think what to pack. I have 22kg and 10 hand luggage. I’ve sorted out my wash bag, medical stuff and that’s it. Drawn a complete blank.

Obviously pants, bras & chub rubs/capri tight things and travel wash and a swimsuit.

I’m a terrible overpacker but I want to be able to just have some outfits that I can mix and match. I have shorts, tops, a few t-shorts, a huge amount of dresses, a pair of tevas and a pair of croc stomp fisherman’s sandals, plus trainers and ballet shoes.

I can’t just throw everything in and hope for the best as I usually do as I end up with just too much.

My brain just hurts.

Why do you need 4 pairs of shoes and a huge amount of dresses?

TBF, I am more of a totally a "rucksack that fits under the seat" traveller so I'm probably not the best person to advise!

I’m not going to take all the dresses. I just have a huge amount of them and I’m going to wear the trainers on the plane. I always take too much. I think I’d cry if I could only take a rucksack as dressing for dinner is a huge part of my holiday, as I don’t do it at home.
it’s also a 5* luxury hotel, so can’t exactly turn up to dinner in whatever I could stuff in a bag.

Fair point. I think I might struggle with that too! Our holidays tend to be a bit less formal. Sounds lovely - hope you have an amazing time.

Edited to sort out my weird bold formatting, but the star in 5* buggers it up!

If you were to just throw everything in, would you be able to close your suitcase and would you still be within the weight limit ? If so, then I don’t really see the problem.

I was away last week to Croatia and in addition to the jersey trousers, hoody and trainers I wore to travel in, I packed two pairs of floaty trousers, 3 pairs of shorts, 4 dresses, two light cardigans and a selection of vests/tops/T shirts. Two tankini sets and 3 pairs of sandals. Of this lot, I put a pair of shorts, a T shirt and a pair of sandals in my rucksack. Everything else in my case which closed with room to spare and weighed less than 14 kg.

I didn’t wear everything, no, but it was nice to have the choice.

I'd include a couple of warmer items as it can get cooler in the evenings. I'm flying out there on Thursday and will be taking a denim jacket (travelling), hoodie and a naice cardi/shawl. I'm also debating taking facemasks for the plane as I got Covid last time on the way to Turkey.

The weather can be changeable and rainy October so take some warm clothing too.

I’m just recovering from the new strain, so hopefully won’t catch it again so soon. I don’t actually own a cardi thanks to hot flushes. I’ll take a shawl to prevent my arms getting eaten by mozzies tho. (Note to remember anti bug lotion).

Think I’ll take 5 of everything and wash the T-shirts.

I probably could take enough for a different outfit for 10 days, but it’s just too excessive and I just can’t be arsed to lug a 22kg suitcase around. I’ll be happy with 15.

Take a light rain coat as Corfu is notoriously rainy in October and maybe a brolly if the hotel doesn’t provide them for walking from room to dining area etc. Also trousers in case you get any windy days.

It’s beautiful though and the wasps shouldn’t be an issue then but I usually get a few mozzie bites.
