When going on holiday we always recommend that you take your baby's milk formula with you as, even though there is one available in Majorca that is the same (Almiron 2) we cannot guarantee where you will find it and it is very much more expensive than the Aptamil Follow-On in Britain. Both the powdered version and the ready made travel well in the hold of the 'plane. With the box of powder leave the tamper proof strip intact, just for your own protection at Customs.

When you are in Majorca use bottled water for your baby. Choose a water that is still rather than sparkling, and one with a low mineral content. A good guideline is to look at the sodium level and the fluoride level in the water. The chemical symbol for sodium is NA. A level of sodium less than 200mg per litre and fluoride less than 1.5mg per litre will be well within limits for a young baby. Try to only boil the water only once, as repeated boiling concentrates the minerals present.
