Cabin bag with sturdy wheels!

I’m sick of replacing the wheels on my 55cm cabin bag. I do a lot of city breaks and tend to walk from the station to hotel so the wheels tend to wear out quickly - I only replaced them in January and they’re knackered again.
I’m assuming they’re only really designed for wheeling around an airport and the designers think everyone hops into a taxi!
I just want one that isn’t going to break the bank but has sturdy wheels, if anyone has one they can recommend?

can’t believe you be repeatedly replaced rather than just buy a new one!!

Well the suitcase itself is fine (it’s a IT luggage lightweight one) and the wheels are £4 each plus postage but the £4s are adding up!

Do you buy the type with four external wheels? We never get those as we have often seen tragic lonely wheels on the carousel. Because they project outside the body of the case, they tend to get bashed around more than the inset ones.

We prefer the two wheeled versions for this reason, as although cabin bags aren't subjected to as much vigorous movement as hold baggage, they still seem prone to bashes off kerbs and the like.

I second the Eastpak recommendation. Brilliant luggage brand with solid rubbery wheels, not brittle plastic.

Off the subject, I bought one last year and have just discovered Ryanair have changed the sizes again 😡. The free bag now has to be 40 x 30 x 20 or less.
