its a big birthday in 2027 and decided to go away. I haven’t been away abroad for a while before Covid.
it would be me, hubby and 2 children.
definitely all inclusive.
been looking online but not been able to find anything as it doesn’t go that far ahead.

Don’t worry about booking it at this point. See this it as a research period. Look at what’s about for now and next year, things don’t change that dramatically. Just get a feel for types of locations and what would suit you. Look at reviews etc. Make a note of them and then find out when booking periods open. Happy birthday in advance!!

I was looking to pay it off in instalments as it will prob cost a lot. It will be end of July/August time due to school holidays and birthday in July.
But will definitely take your comment on board
thank you

Just put the money in a separate savings account. Much safer and it will accrue a bit of interest. So much can change for holiday destinations in that time scale.
It is exciting, enjoy planning.

Holidays are a lot more expensive that far in advance. Flights etc haven't been released and package companies make sure they have a lot of wiggle room, to make sure they don't lose money when they are finally released.

I would highly recommend doing research now, gage price, then save money based on that. Based on experience, it will be currently more expensive to book for summer 2026 than it will be in Jan 2026. I get some people are bad at saving, but you're honestly just giving another company your money for them to save for you. Just set up a separate account and save monthly into it.
