Avoid Haven holidays

Haven holiday - Hafan Y Mor, 18 Ogwen. Please avoid this plot, its is over priced and basically your seaview is obscured by a constant influx of people, 4 wheeled bikes and segways. There was no privacy and is was always loud and disruptive. Guest relations will take no responsibility. Please avoid this plot, I would avoid Haven all together. All they care about is money and their guest relations are a joke.

How much was it?

Iamcross · 19/09/2025 18:31

We paid in excess of 2.5k for 7 days!

I personally would not have chosen haven for any sort of relaxing holiday, especially this park which seems to be one of the busier parks. We have been in the past and it is exactly what we expected and the kids loved it.

To go on a Haven holiday? Do you need your bumps felt?

This makes zero sense to me. Zero. What was your thinking?

The name has always made me laugh

Have fanny more

It doesn't sound anything like that

SepticPegsSepticLeg · 19/09/2025 21:17

You paid 2.5k to go to a haven site 😂 fuck me they saw you coming.

I paid 1.5k this summer for 7 days in a luxury cottage in Cornwall complete with hot tub, private parking and bbq.

I mean the actual pronunciation doesn't sound anything like that but nice one for laughing at the Welsh language

How?? We paid £350 for five days over the Easter holiday this year and had a fab time.
if you want a sea view and peace try getting a plot right at the top of the site (lots of privately owned vans available on air B&B) it was gorgeous up there but a bit of a hike to get “home”

Would you make fun of any other language in this way, out of interest? Because you sound a bit Frank Spencer tbh...

Iamcross · 19/09/2025 22:31

Tbh its not the money, its more a warning for anyone unfortunate enough to get lumbered with the actual plot, it used to be a car park, they have removed the car park and plonked a caravan there. Not ideal

There was a whole thread about this once believe it or not. There are also loads of English/ Scottish place names that sounds funny/ rude. Its not a dig at anything but I am sorry if it caused offence. I thought it was lighthearted on a Friday evening.

neveradmit17 · 20/09/2025 08:39

I've been on a few haven holidays in a caravan to different sites and it's always cost a lot less than the Op paid. How many of you were there, OP? Yes, you know what you're going to get (lots of kids, working class families) but my kids have always had a great time and the caravans have always been clean and modern. Annoying people for sure, but then again everyone outside the family annoys me! Maybe you were just unlucky, OP.

mamagogo1 · 20/09/2025 08:44

People were going past you, hardly a shock, the price you paid though is ridiculous if true, I paid £450 for 4 days last year, term time i admit.

Covidwoes · 20/09/2025 08:50

2.5k. We paid 2.4k for a week half board in a beautiful hotel in Spain (in August).

Scar88 · 20/09/2025 08:55

£2.5k ?? Haha I don't think so. Just looked at Oct half term only goes to £1.9k and that's if you have the gold standard. Either way it's Haven and it's like that at any caravan park. Which is why we avoid it now the kids are older 😆

foreverbasil · 20/09/2025 08:58

I think “Butlin’s Pwllheli” has always been known for being a bit shit. I don’t think this is news.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 20/09/2025 09:01

@sandrapinchedmysandwich
Can't say anything these days without horror of offending someone

Absolutely nuts
