Which area Luss, Balloch etc?

I am not sure on area as never been . I hear Luss is nice. Balloch may be good if weather is bad we can go to Glasgow for the day? I did find chalets at rowardennan which look nice but not sure if that area is a bit quiet. With teenage boys we are happy enough with cheap and cheerful . They tend not to like very upmarket accommodation. Unless is rustic mountain chic.

Queen of the loch hotel looks quite good but think availability is limited for the dates we are looking for

Yes Rowardennan is quiet but lovely! Gorgeous walks, bit of the west highland way down there, Sallochy has a nice little beach, nice food at the pub in Balmaha down the road. Only thing is it's a bit far if you want to go for a day round the other side. Love it there though! Also a good walk up Conic Hill for views

I'm personally not keen on Balloch but it is handy for a day trip to Glasgow. Presumably you're driving though so it's only an extra 20 mins or so if staying further round the loch
