Hoping for some tips.
We've had a villa holiday in Tenerife booked since March but had our villa cancelled yesterday. We've rebooked a lovely villa but in a totally different part of the island. Reading previous posts this could be a blessing as it takes us out of the South and will mean we see more of the island. We will be near Arafo. We will have hire cars. We are a group of 10. Children are 18 months, 4, 7 & 8, 5 adults in their 30s plus my 75 year old mum.
We will spend a lot of time by the pool in the villa with occasional day trips but will spend our evenings out for meals. We aren't hikers.
We all really appreciate great food and love to spend our evenings strolling around coastal areas with a few restaurants and choosing somewhere to eat. Tourist trap places are not our thing but we would like to be welcome.
I've read we must visit Mount Teide and that Puerto De La Cruz is lovely. We will obviously spend time in Santa Cruz.
Any recommendations for little villages / areas we should visit on the South-East side of the Island? (Most evenings we'd prefer not to drive further than 20 mins from the villa).
Any tips, trips or favourite restaurants would be gratefully received.
