Late October holiday recommendations

We are hoping to book a holiday at the end of October for a week probably all inclusive. Does anyone have any recommendations of places that are good for families (we have a 6 and 2 year old) and will have decent weather (e.g. low 20 degrees is fine!) at that time of year? Thanks 😊

Canaries or Cyprus but even then you may have the odd day of unsettled weather

Most places in the Mediterranean will have temperatures in the low 20s, maybe with the odd wet day. However, the pools will be too cold for a lot of people, so if you want to spend time in the pool, look at the Canaries (unless you are hardy).

The other thing is that a lot of places close for the winter at the end of October. You might find that some places only have availability up to Thursday 30 or Friday 31.

If you don't really care where you go in terms of "authentic local experiences" and just want an AI hotel near a beach, have a look at Cales de Mallorca in Majorca. This is a purpose-built resort town with 10 AI hotels and not a lot else, but the beaches are nice and the prices are quite a bit lower than the rest of Majorca. Plus there are loads of flights from most major UK airports (again, until the end of October).

We had a couple of holidays in Nerja (Spain) October half term when DS was younger. From memory the first time we went it was lovely and we did both beach and pool. Second time we went it was a lot cloudier and the last day the weather was torrential. To the west of Malaga, I think Benalmadena area can be good for families and probably more AI hotels (there was a thread a couple of days ago with suggestions of things to do).

I holiday on that coast all year round, but I agree that it is likely to be warmer in the canaries or Cyprus. And also I understand that some of the hotels in the canaries have heated pools.
