Gran Canaria at New year

Hi , we would love to be away for new year I was looking at Maspalomas, peurto Rico & Peurto Mogan . I think my one teen might be bored in Peurto Mogan
Im so undecided as my friend said she’s been to Gran Canaria over xmas & it’s wasn’t warm
Any advice please ? Has any of you been last year ?

We go every Christmas and NY to Puerto Mogan.

It's not somewhere I would necessarily take teens to though. It's charming, small and quiet and everything closes quite early. There are a few bars that stay open but 1pm is tops.

Puerto Rico has much more going on. It's not my cup of tea but it would be more suitable for a family with teens.

I agree it is expensive. Christmas and NY are the most expensive times of the year. Flights and accommodation.

Eating out etc will be much cheaper in Puerto Rico.

If you are that undecided perhaps this time of year is not for you?
I'm considering for the future that our Christmas holiday needs to come off the list as it's often the most expensive holiday of the year now when it used to be an extra.
