Paris Orly taxi question

Afternoon mumsnetters, just need some advice on late night taxi travel through Paris. Arriving at Orly 1 at 9.30pm and want to go straight to our hotel in La Defence, Travelling with DD so not really fancying metro/rer. I know online it says that taxis have fixed prices depending on north/south of the river but it seems La Defence falls outside this remit. My french is not great and I am a bit anxious anyway so it would be good to get a rough idea of how much extra it might be (roughly e.g is there a fixed extra or do they switch to the metre).

I have looked at prebooking a car but the prices seem to increase a lot so happy to just go to taxi rank but want to have a rough idea of how much extra La Defence might be from basic paris prices (35/45 Euros).

Merci

The fixed price to anywhere in Paris (left bank) is €36, and La Défense is about 7km further on, which would be an extra €8.

However, it could be that if you are not ending the journey in Paris, the whole trip would be on the meter. But even then it shouldn't be too much more — they aren't losing money on the €36 deal. You should be able to get there for €50.

You can also look at Uber, which will at least give you a fixed price quote. They have a pick up point (look for "VTC" if you don't see Uber itself).

Thank you so much, that is super helpful. I am happy paying more than the 36EU by 10 or even 20. I cant imagine there would be tons of traffic at that time of night. I checked the G7 app which was quoting up to 100EU and even a pre booked UBER was saying around 75EU. I will go for an airport taxi then!
