Southern Africa Tour Groups - Not Camping but Not Luxury

I’m struggling to find any tour groups/travel operators that run tours of Southern Africa. I can afford more than the 18-19 year old camping trip, but I can’t justify dropping £5,000 on 10 nights.

Are there any options that have simple hotels? A bit of camping might be fun but I can’t face two weeks.

We did a tour that covered Zambia Vic Falls, safaris in Botswana, & time/excursions in Cape Town. 2 lodges were fine, very clean & comfortable, & hotel in CT was excellent.
We used Riviera Travel, highly recommend them.

If you only do SA why don’t you organise it yourself? It’s easy!

Book all flights car hire and accommodation direct yourself. Keep the costs down, some fabulous guest houses. Cost of living very low. Great £/R exchange rate.

Do you want to go with a tour group to be with other people ?

If it's only to have a route and options planned for you, maybe look at a local travel agent. For SA, you could try contact Flight Centre. I haven't ever done it, but I am sure they could put an itinerary together for you.

But Southern Africa is huge. You must have some idea of where you would prefer to go?

Should have added - I want a group so I have some company. Thinking about it now, I could do several smaller tours and be on my own for the rest.
