Travel question

We're thinking about New York in December. Obviously, we will need to take the car seat with us for our taxi trip too and from the airport/hotel. If we do the open top bus tour, I take it baby will be ok in the sling? I doubt buses will have seat belts anyway but thought I'd ask.

Sling will be a godsend really.
Especially for all the faffing at airports and stuff.

How old will baby be?

The other option is to pre book minibus as opposed to taxi. MTA metropoliton transport authority do online bookings from all airports.

About 5 months depending on when he finally makes his appearance! We'd take the baby seat and the frame for the travel system. Ideally, I'd like to take the pram part too so he can sleep a bit more comfortably than in the baby seat but I think that part is more important.

Can you put the carry cot bit in as luggage and book it in with your cases?
Then put your sling in your hand luggage and you can keep the pushchair up until the gate.
