Can anyone please help with inspiration or any recommendations for a group holiday for a special birthday. We will need six units of accommodation hopefully near a beach. The age range is from 4 to 80 so a mix of activities places to visit would be ideal .we are looking in U.K or Northern Europe Does anyone have any suggestions for destinations or activities?

Italy is a good shout, lots of huge villas, usually with a pool etc, and works out very cost effective once costs are divided up. Great food and the Italians are very family friendly.

Gwel an Mor in Cornwall has an amazing range of activities and facilities onsite.

When you say units do you mean you want to avoid a villa?

When are you thinking of? Do you want hot? Does everyone have full mobility?

How far ahead will you be booking this? What time of year? People I know who have organised a large family gathering similar to this have booked rooms in a hotel, rather than a villa, but you would need to be booking well in advance (I would think).

Look at Normandy - great beaches for little ones, lots of museums and history for those who are interested in sightseeing and the gastronomy is amazing, if any tweens/young teens they will appreciate being offered the local cider (which is low in alcohol). Easy to access via ferry (kids love the overnight one) or regional flights are available. Look at Pierre et vacances for holiday parks with pool on site or consider one of the many chateaux you can rent

Thank you so much every one we are looking to go in July next year somewhere warm but not too hot .Everyone is mobile .I think a hotel/separate accommodation is what we are looking for
