Inspiration for Easter next year

We are hoping to go away during the Easter holidays (next year) with older teen DC. Would like to go short haul for 4-5 nights and are wanting some mild, sunny weather, although it doesn't have to be sunbathing hot. We'd like to go for nice beach or scenic walks, some interesting sightseeing and go to some nice restaurants and shops. Considering Crete, Amalfi coast, Lisbon but open to other suggestions A heated or indoor pool would be a bonus. Really don't want to go anywhere where the season won't have properly started and cafes etc are closed. Open to suggestions but not Canaries. Morocco, Barcelona, Nice, Venice as been before. Thanks

Lovely time to do Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast.

We went to the Amalfi coast and Naples Easter of 2023, it was mostly jumper weather, the day we were in Herculaneum it was t-shirt weather and the day we went to Pompeii it absolutely threw it down. Loved the trip up Vesuvius. Otherwise dry but no warmer than 15 degrees. Easter 2024 we went to Malta, Valetta is a good base, that was a really nice holiday, lots to do and much warmer than Italy had been the previous year.

Everywhere is getting warmer but Easter probably will not be beach weather. I’d try Amalfi Coast for Pompeii and Herculaneum. If you stretch to a week - Nile cruise. Did that with DD aged 15. Warm and interesting.

Rome, (busy as it’s Easter), Ravenna also has good rail links to fantastic nearby towns. Beaches? Tuscany beach towns? Might be a bit quiet. Bordeaux might be better.

History? Berlin. No beach but loads to see. Our teens enjoyed it.

Hmm I really like the thought of Amalfi area and Pompeii but not rain tipping down and 15 max seems a bit chilly. Forgot about Malta but have been there, bit might be one to consider. Wondering now about Sicily?

Cyprus, eastern side? It may still be colder but better than Italy.

Longer flight though.

Sicily could be good but is not guaranteed great weather before May. We loved Ortigia and Taormina. Seville / Granada could be good - weather generally very mild and they have the Semana Santa processions for Easter. Beautiful cities to explore. I went to Athens and Lisbon in March / April last year for work and the weather was lovely in both places during the day. Maybe a bit chilly out of the sun. Lisbon can be windy.

@MissAmbrosia We went to Sicily 18 months ago (April) and it wasn’t beach weather. It was sunny most of the time though and absolutely wonderful for sightseeing. Far less people and not 40 degrees in those amazing towns. Easter is a great time to visit lots of places if you don’t want a beach holiday!

I think it’s just that there are no guarantees. I went there as a teenager, a very long time ago (1980’s!) and can’t remember much but it must have been a lot warmer than 15 degrees as I can definitely recall sunbathing around the pool and it being very hot the day we went to Pompei.

Jordan / Petra?
Ideal in Easter.
