Where to go for Xmas this year

This has been a very hard year. Lost both my parents and my husband has had cancer. At Christmas usually everyone comes to our house but with both children travelling abroad and everything else we are going to go away. We only have a week because of work so want somewhere where we can swim, sunbathe and relax.
Please help mumsnetters.

Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Oman will be warm enough for swimming, but not too far to travel for a week.

A Caribbean island.

I would look at travel insurance as that might dictate where you go?

Caribbean. I wouldn’t go to Dubai if you paid me.
