Looking at going away for a break between Christmas and New Year and would love some inspiration. Probably no more than a 5 hour flight, budget not a huge consideration (but not unlimited), 2 kids age 9 and 14 who like to be doing things. Would love to hear what you’ve loved!

we went to the canaries last Christmas and have booked to go again this year. Can’t wait tbh.
its about 22/24 degrees and just pleasant

Watching, we are looking for something similar. I’ve looked at Club La Santa and it looks very impressive but a couple of us aren’t hugely sporty. Considering a beach/ desert combination in Dubai - but that is over 5 hours.

Malaga or Seville would be warmer than here and there’s a decent chance it would be sunny. Lots to see.

A Twixmas my family have enjoyed Center Parcs in England, a lovely hotel with a pool about half an hour from Dublin, a hotel called Tynley Hall, a hotel with a pool/spa in the New Forest, Stockholm, Paris, Prague and Budapest.
I also enjoyed going to Tenerife for Christmas and New Year one year.
I did not enjoy skiing at that time of year.

I posted this a few months ago and after a few recommendations from people we are going to Madeira! Apparently really lovely over New Year.

If you want a ski type holiday Zakopane in Poland is supposed to be beautiful at that time of year
