Can I take a highly pressurised aerosol on a plane?

I'm flying out to Sicily tomorrow. Unfortunately my athletes foot is coming with me so I need to disinfect the shower in the holiday apartment after using it to prevent passing this skin sucking freeloader on to DH

Im going to take Dettol one for all but it says highly pressurised container on the can whereas my deoderant, which i know is permitted, just says pressurised, not highly pressurised. Anyone taken anything like this before? Thanks

Aerosols are only permitted in luggage if they’re for personal toiletry or medicinal use.

Wear flip flops.

I've never seen any mention in the rules about there being a difference between handling of standard aerosols and highly pressurised, whatever they are..

Usual rule (e.g. IATA) is ok if medicinal or toiletry (what @OpenLilacTraybake said) contents non-flammable, non toxic, no more than 2 L total and single item not to exceed 0.5 L.

That said you'd need to check the actual airline T&Cs to make sure they are not more restrictive.

Just if anyone picks up this thread and wonders - i asked the lady at tge Jet2 check in desk. She went and asked some else, bit of a debate over the size if it as I didn't know but they said it woukd be fine. Myself, the bleeping athletes foot and the Dettol spray have arrived safely in Italy!
