Would love suggestions of restaurants and boat trips to do in Porto! Obviously loads when I google but it’s overwhelming! Does the boat operator make a big difference or are most trips the same?

I love Porto, but too long ago to make valid recommendations.
You will need to make reservations in the restaurants you fancy - the good ones get booked up.

There is an excellent one by the waterfront in a side street - taberna dos mercadores or similar.
you can try to book but they don’t answer the phone often. There is a long queue outside from around 7pm and they only have a few tables. They have one table for 4 and the rest 2s. Classic Portuguese cuisine lots of seafood, rice, really superb. There is a sister restaurant too. that’s the one really stands out for me.

book a port tour. We did grahams.

We did a days wine tour in the Fouro valley which included lunch, I think it was around £90 pp a couple 0f years ago but it was well worth it and we got plenty of free wine, a rive cruise etc
