We are off to Scout camp at the end of July, and as we have a large number of boys going, we have 2 minibuses hired. DH and myself are more than happy to put DD (she will be 21m by then) in her child seat in the middle of the bus. The minibuses are pretty new and very well maintained as they are used by the DVLA (don't ask), and have 3 point seat belts.
Now my mum seems to think this is wrong and that it is dangerous to put her in the minibus. She believes I should drive my own car up with dd. Journey will take 4hrs, and like most toddlers, my dd will not like to be strapped in for that long without distraction. Being in the minibus means that dd will have 10+ scouts to entertain her, rather than in the car it'll just be me, who will not be able to do so as I'm the one driving. DH can't be in the car as well as he has to drive a minibus.
Opinions please
